The FoodSaver Round Canister Set is a three-piece set consisting of canisters in varying sizes, 3/4 quart, 1 1/2 quart and 2 1/2 quart. Unlike the FoodSaver appliances, these canisters prove to be quite disappointing. The canisters don't hold up to prolonged use or even minimal use. The material is prone to cracking especially on the bottom of the canister. The design of the sealing lid does not hold the vacuum seal. Many users experienced a short term vacuum seal with these canisters, which defeats the whole purpose of sealing and preserving food. It all comes down to poor design and material.
It is surprising FoodSaver would put out such an inferior product. It tarnishes their name and reputation. It is advisable for Tilia to stick with what works...the heat seal bags and rolls. Subjecting their loyal customers to substandard products makes them lose confidence in the brand. At $24.99 for the FoodSaver Round Canister Set, it is simply too much to ask consumers to flush their money down the drain.
